Top 2010 Academy Award-Winning Films Use Finale

by Scott Yoho 23. March 2010 04:51

Once again, Finale played an integral part in the creation of the top Academy Award winning films for 2010. The music for The Hurt Locker, winner of six Oscars, was prepared using Finale. "What about Avatar?" I'm glad you asked! Bob Bornstein was in charge of the music preparation and prepared most of the orchestral parts with the assistance of several copyists and proofreaders. Bob confirms: "The scores for Avatar were prepared in Finale and the orchestral parts were done in both Finale and Sibelius."

Other films that were prepared with Finale include Sherlock Holmes, Princess and the Frog, Nine, Fantastic Mr. Fox, District 9 and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. In addition, most of the music in the Academy Awards show itself was also prepared in Finale.

We'd love to hear about the projects you're completing with Finale. Tell us about them by clicking on "Comments" below.
